"This is an amazing place to stay. My Wife and I stayed here when we visited Hakodate 2 years ago and we couldn’t wait to return. Every single member of the staff is kind, hard working, and helpful, they’re top notch all around. The room was very comfortable and the private onsen for our room was really relaxing. If you do a little walking there are also places to go to eat and even a great little brewery called Endeavour pretty close by. We can’t wait to stay here again the next time we’re in Hakodate."

"This house is a bit hard to find on Google maps, and sits exactly along the shores next to other beach properties. It's is best to Google 小浜理容店 barber shop (179, 179 Nesakicho, Hakodate, Hokkaido 042-0924, Japan) next door because the address given on the website doesn't register with the taxi services. The view is breathtaking and the back side of the house gives a panoramic view of the water through windows that run all along the back of the house. But the small beach is not accessible or inhabitable. The house is modest and modern. The style is like a Matisse painting with orange, mustard and red squares and tatami matted floors that makes great use of space. There is a main bedroom with 2 inside bedrooms that are only accessible through the main bedroom, and are closed off with separate doors. The inner bedrooms are much cooler and darker because they are hidden from the sun. The feel of the house is quite relaxing and zen-like. It's a wonderful place to sit and watch the sunset with a cup of tea, on very comfortable oversized chairs. A unique and peaceful experience. "

"I literally do not have the ability to accurately express how AMAZING, our stay was. The staff could not have been more professional. The Onsen, could not have been more relaxing, both the private and public ones. The place was spotless as well. It may have been the nicest, fanciest, ritziest place I’ve ever been. It has literally been the best, and I mean the best, part of my entire trip to Japan!! When I get married I want to go back there for my honey moon. "
