"We cannot say enough positive things about the gardenia garden house. It was a wonderful location to explore the beaches and hiking spots around Chania, and experience the lovely culture of the people of Sternes. It is within 10 minutes of the airport but feels a world away. Comfortable furnishings surrounded by lemon and olive trees,herbs to cook with in its well equipped kitchen all made it a comfortable home for us. Hoping to return to this lovely spot!"

"We had a very relaxing stay in this beautiful villa. Everything was presented to a very high standard. The owner was very helpful , nothing was too much trouble. Wake up to the sound of the cockerel and Church bells(Sunday only!) - a lovely rural getaway. The “takeaway” fish from Sunset restaurant 2 minutes away was a healthy bonus. "Zach and Marina are charming hosts who made us very welcome. The house has been restored and furnished sensitively, there is lots of space inside and out, on those hot days the terrace gets a lovely cooling wind. Not to forget zacks amazing honey and olive oil, liquid gold."

"The property was great for visiting with a car. Was able to access Chania easily for a family that did not want to stay in town. The house was modern and very clean. We did have a few challenges. The hot water worked for 1 day and then not at all the rest of the time. We had been traveling for a week and needed to do laundry and had little warm water to do wash. We were planning on cooking over Christmas due to closed restaurants, unfortunately the stovetop did not work at all. The oven...
