"This hotel is not in Gubei Water Town, and the location marked on the map is very misleading as it is several km away. As a result we could not stay there, and we sent a message to Wotif seeking a refund which has not been acknowledged or responded to."

"This place was a little hard to find by google maps but definitely worth it once we found it. The owners were also the hosts and they were very friendly people. They didn’t accept credit cards but they said soon they would. Really small and cozy place with a short 20 min walk to Gubei Water town, which is a locals’ tourist trap. I’d love to come back to this place."

"Wanted to write and say how good my stay at this place was. Reasonable price and good location. It can be very pricey to stay in Water Town and this is great alternative. It is about a 30 minute walk into W/T (nice walk which I did several times when shuttle wasn't running) or would shuttle for 3Y into town. Shuttle ended just before 6:00 p.m. Plenty of food chooses near place. Market 1 minute walk. Staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my stay. Water Town and Great Wall were amazing!!! Would...
