"I was charged direct to my credit card by Expedia. At the hotel they insisted that I pay deposit in cash (not card) deposit was 400rmb nearly 1.5 cost of room. In the morning they told me they took room price out of my deposit. I showed them my reservation and then also my credit card account online statement to prove the money was already paid.
