"Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. "

The location was fab for easy access to the city on foot (we parked the car outside the house and didn't use it again until the drive home!), and the parking permit made it all very easy. "Positives: The house was large with nice grounds. There was a nice walk to the local pub. The bedrooms overall were nice. Technical issues: • The hot tub kept tripping the fuseboard. So we missed out on the tub on the Friday night. • A few more dishwashing tablets would have been helpful, as would bin bags • The outside staircase up to the building had large spaces between the bars, which is dangerous for small kids. We suggest a simple wire in the middle of these to ensure kids don’t fall...

"Such a historic venue, so peaceful if a bit remote. 5-10 minutes to get to the main road. Easy to find though, postcode satnav takes you right to the property with well signed directions when there. The property and grounds were immaculate, added bonus of an outside plug at parking to trickle charge an electric vehicle. "

"The stay was great, everything was as published. It is quiet and secuded...so if you arrive after dark in fog like we did, have a flashlight/torch handy to help make your way from the parking area to the house. We ate at the nearby pub and had a nice meal. The host was super responsive to our communication via VRBO. It was located about 15 minute drive to York."

"We had a lovely stay for four days here. The apartment had enough space for us to spread out, and having an outdoor space and a washer/dryer was welcome. It got a bit hot one day where the bedrooms were; I would recommend a fan in each room and sun blocking curtains for warmer summer weather. "Constant, very loud, drunken stupidity made for a pretty sleepless night. Opposite 24 hour McDonald's. Really strong room fragrance in the kitchen was really off-putting and made me wonder what smells they were trying to conceal. Window sills not clean."

"We were quite surprised to discover that it was a terraced house but it was beautifully decorated ansnfelt very homely. We were fortunate to find off street parking further up the street but didn't move the car in case we lost our space. Towels were provided and the home was cosy and welcoming. Sadly the hot tub switched off overnight on the first evening so was cold for our first morning but we were able to turn it up easily so that it was hot in the late afternoon.
