I booked in a hurry after a very long journey with a young baby and manager kindly made an exception as a one off which we were extremely grateful as didn’t know this wasn’t allowed. Breakfast was lovely and the young man serving was kind and attentive. Will definitely recommend and stay again. Super."

We reported this on arrival but it wasn’t rectified in spite of an assurance that it would be. No-one came to make up the room or refill the tea/coffee after the first night. "More shabby than chic, I nevertheless soon became quite enamoured of my humble little room on the first floor. These prices were often a third of the travelodge. Is Schmotel three times worse than travelodge? No it’s a different thing. I was therefore pleased that there were no ghosts or Frankensteins and no poo on the wall or ceiling, and nobody with loud and evil intent anywhere in the seven blessed rooms. "
