"I can’t tell you how many times we said “what a beautiful location” this weekend! It is truly stunning! We enjoyed use of the lake and the many kayaks, paddle boards and paddle boats they had. We also enjoyed feeding the miniature horses apples. The house is clean, comfortable and well stocked. Plenty of room! Close to the wine trail, Giant City and Carbondale. The host Brian was very friendly and checked to make sure everything was good upon checkin. All around great experience! We will be...

"I get the weather and the warmth, but there we 100s of lady bugs coming in every available spot in doors and windows. They made the main level and the upstairs unhabitable. The house itself was beautiful, cozy and welcoming. The propert was well maintained and the hot tub and fire pit were great additions. The location was great for local attractions and ease of travel. We would definitely stay here again, just not woth warm fall temps."

"We love coming to southern Illinois, especially in the fall. This house did not disappoint. House accomodated our family of 5 perfectly. Everything our kids love was right here on this property. Next time we plan to come during summer time so we can utilthe pool."

"If you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing place to stay, look no further! This cute home located right next to Shawnee National Forest was the perfect weekend getaway for us and our dogs. The house is back in the woods with over 8 acres to explore. And the stars at night were incredible! Everything was very clean and our host provided bottled water and had all the makings for coffee. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit!"
