"Had a great night's stay after visiting the Bird of Prey Centre at Duncombe Park for a friend's birthday. Room was really comfortable, fab bathroom. "Fantastic overnight stay in the Bollinger room - with the most comfortable bed imaginable. We ate in the pub in the evening and got talking to the owner about Huddersfield pigeons and their (lack of) merits. Food brilliant - we chose a chicken and a lamb dish. Beautiful. Mediterranean cheesecake - pesto jus with olives and roasted tomatoesit it was not. Turns out it was Dark Fruit Berries !!! Super flavour. And sticky toffee pudding to die for ! Lovely breakfast in the morning. Plenty...

"We stopped for an overnight stay at the Royal Oak. It was a really friendly and traditional pub serving lovely food and ales. Staff were incredibly friendly and warm. We had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast, both of which were delicious. The accommodation is situated in a small village location, very quiet but lovely. It was exactly what we wanted. If I have any complaints it was the bedrooms were a little on the cosy side, but adequate enough for the two of us. "

"We stayed with our young son for 3 nights in July 2024. The staff were absolutely lovely, so welcoming and helpful with everything we needed and great with interacting with our young son. The food - breakfast and dinner - is truly incredible with nothing too much trouble. The only downside we experienced really was that we were in a room on the top floor which, while the room had clearly been hoovered etc, it was dusty in places with lots of cobwebs - while we don't mind spiders, we removed...

"Really comfy place. Room was spot on. When the gentleman showed me the room. He noticed a mark on the duvet. (It was nothing really). It looked like they’d maybe rested the vacuum on the bed & it had left a bit of dirt. The gentleman changed the duvet cover there & then. I ordered my breakfast & unfortunately I slept in. When I left I apologised & they couldn’t have been nicer about it. Spot on place , would stay again."

"The apartment was very well fitted out, the staff were lovely very helpful, it is a little far from town and took us a while to find the local supermarket, maybe some instructions on how to work the job and parking was an issue, we went out for the day and had to park quite a walk away, but on the whole we loved it and were very comfortable 😊"
