"This motel is on the main road (US-60 or Ash Street) but was quiet during the holiday period. It is ideally situated near Hill Street, which goes into the historic district less than a mile away. Fast food is nearby, as is hiking at Round Mountain Park. El Rey is a self-described "vintage motor court" so looks the part outside. But the interior room was large enough, the bed mostly comfortable, the spacious shower always had hot water, and the wall heater worked well, with the usual humming....

"Stayed here for a quick 4 day climbing trip to surrounding areas including Atlantis, the pond, and the homestead. Wonderful location to access these crags. The rental had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy some Netflix after a day of climbing. We had a few issues come up, but the owner was very attentive, responsive, and prompt in communication and addressing the issues. Thank you for a wonderful stay, would recommend."

"We stayed for three nights and enjoyed it very much. Lots of local hikes. Oracle State Park is very close to the house. And the Oracle market and Café is delightful. The house is set up with everything you would need and lots of extras as well. It’s very quiet at night. Incredibly comfortable bed. The house is very well sorted and Adrienne was great to communicate with."
