"Very cute place! It looks like it needs a little bit of a facelift but I can't really complain. The room smelled really nice! We saw a groundsman going around cleaning trash and the courtyard. He was very nice! We will definitely come back"

"This motel is on the main road (US-60 or Ash Street) but was quiet during the holiday period. It is ideally situated near Hill Street, which goes into the historic district less than a mile away. Fast food is nearby, as is hiking at Round Mountain Park. El Rey is a self-described "vintage motor court" so looks the part outside. But the interior room was large enough, the bed mostly comfortable, the spacious shower always had hot water, and the wall heater worked well, with the usual humming....

"Stayed here for a quick 4 day climbing trip to surrounding areas including Atlantis, the pond, and the homestead. Wonderful location to access these crags. The rental had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy some Netflix after a day of climbing. We had a few issues come up, but the owner was very attentive, responsive, and prompt in communication and addressing the issues. Thank you for a wonderful stay, would recommend."

"This is a older house that is comfortable. It has been nicely decorated. The electrical switches are a bit quirky. Two good size bedrooms with comfortable mattresses. The neighbood is a bit run down but the houses on either side are well maintained. "
