"Inside the house was nice and clean but the outside could use a little work. There was trash in the backyard which was taken care of by the owner once he was made aware of it. Also I found a pile of dog droppings mixed in the cedar chips which is not inviting. But it did have a working washer and dry plus plenty of room for my family. Plus we found wonderful frozen custard near by."

"I was in Des Moines for a week for appointments with my son. I stayed for 5 nights. I had my 5 year old and 8 year old with me. The house was a perfect size for us. The kitchen had all the tools I needed for making meals. The beds are the foam temperpedic type. A bit too firm for me but that it a personal preference. The kids slept great on it. The rooms have black out curtains which is one reason I chose this house. So many houses have no curtains or thin ones. I need dark when I sleep! The...

"We took our 15 year old grandson to Des Moines for an Iowa Cub game. The house was set up very cute and he loves the foos ball and arcade games! The location was extremely convenient to our plans and surprisingly very quiet. We would definitely stay again! The owners were very patient with me as our credit card company blocked the out of town charge ugh. But we sorted it out and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend."

"We stayed 12 days and appreciated the central location. The house is just three short blocks from Valley Junction with excellent restaurants, stores and art/music. We were lucky to catch a Thursday farmers' market. The house was very clean, and all the appliances were in excellent working order with no issues. The a/c was good since we were there during some hot days. The garage was a real bonus too."
