"This was my first time staying here, and I would definitely stay here again! It was clean, quiet and comfortable, and the homemade breakfasts were delicious! Buck and Cleo were very friendly, as were the other guests who I met during my stay. Easy check-in and check-out. Booked a room with a private bathroom. Close to both Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. "

"What a truly great experience. Having been in Keene Valley in the same house 50 years ago, it was a pleasure to see it being cared for and run and such a beautiful way. Kelly, the manager, couldn’t have been More delightful. Preparing breakfast and always there for questions or advice on where to go out to dinner or tge next mountain to climb.. It was a perfect weekend and I’m looking forward to going back thank you Keene valley lodge."

"We spent one day and night at this hotel. Beautiful view of the Whiteface mountains. Very home like atmosphere. Nice rooms with everything you need. Owner of the place very nice and helpful. Lots of toys for kids to play with. My 2 and 4 year old had a blast there. Huge living room with tables board games tv etc. I would definitely recommend it and come back there again."

"We highly recommend the Bark Eater Inn!!!!! The Bark Eater Inn is in a beautiful, quiet location, minutes from everything!! "This could not have been a more wonderful stay. The manor house is beautiful as are the grounds. The deck overlooks the lake with a lovely path that leads to a dock. Breakfast on the deck was simply joyful. The rooms are well appointed and very clean and tidy. Breakfast was home cooked with fresh and local ingredients. Bring a bottle of wine with you for an evening taking in the fresh air and lake views. The owners are lovely and have thought of everything their guests will need. This is a must...
