"There seemed to be some confusion over our room we tried to rectify it straight away especially as there was no light in the bathroom, but no one was at reception desk. So was sorted next day. The room was changed and was more like what we had booked, it was clean but basic. Im not sure I’d go back there again. On Expedia it said you could get food at an additional fee. No such service. If I’m honest I was disappointed with it. "

"Communication with the host (Hanny) was very good. She responded promptly after we requested information a few days prior to our stay via e-mail. The location of the appartement is away from the village of Marbach going up the mountain (you need a car to get there). The appartment is on the top floor of the farm house. "Great location in a historical building. Walkable to grocery and the lake/river tourist area. The building common area is a bit dated but look interesting if you like historical building. The apartment is spacious and modern. Big fully equipped kitchen, full size fridge. Nice Tereace. The bedroom with a bathroom are on the ground floor. there is an AC in the bedroom but not cool enough, only works like a fan. The AC upstairs is better but not enough to cover the living/dining/extra bed area....

"Auf den Bildern sah die Unterkunft ok aus. Entweder waren die Bilder alt oder es war gut fotografiert. Dort angekommen war ich erstmal geschockt... Die Sauberkeit lies zu wünschen übrig. Zudem sehr abgewohnt und teilweise kaputt. Gegen alt habe ich nichts aber ganz sollte es schon sein. Schmutzige Töpfe, dreckige Schränke, in der Waschmaschine wollte ich auch nichts waschen... Die Umgebung war jetzt auch nicht das optimale. Wir haben das Beste draus gemacht aber werden sicher nicht wieder...

"The neighborhood is very peaceful yet close enough to walk to all the city has to offer. After a long day being able to take the 9 bus to within 100m of our place was so convenient. Highly recommend for a couple. It is a large studio as no wall separating the bedroom area. "

"Un alloggio in fattoria come dovrebbe essere. Grande e completo di tutto. Anche se sono presenti un paio di camere condivise nel corridoio la privacy è garantita. Prorietaria molto gentile e disponibile (ma consiglio per educazione di osservare e rispettare i ritmi di lavoro richiesti dalla cura degli animali). "The property manager was very helpful, even with two English speakers who only knew a bit of German. She was communicative by e-mail and very friendly. The place was clean, and the views on the patio were incredible. The studio is accessible by a nearby bus stop, but the bus does not run all times of the day, so this was sometimes inconvenient as the location is atop a big hill from Sarnen.
