"Excellent place to hang out for a family/couple retreat. We used it as a base to explore the NOVA area. It’s a little far for the Dulles/Tyson area, but western areas were fine. Beds were very comfortable. No cell coverage, but non issue with WiFi. Movie projector and sauna were nice touches! Would stay again. "

"Check-in instructions very easy to follow. The home is recently renovated, had a gorgeous view and was very clean. It’s an easy 10-15 min drive to the entrance to Skyline Drive. The chalet and especially the kitchen were well appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing get away. Although it’s a newly listed property, it obvious the hosts are experienced and were very gracious! Would highly recommend this property! "

"Words cannot express the experience we had at this beautiful cabin. They just would not do it justice, but I am going to try. Driving to the cabin, in the neighborhood, you feel a sense of serenity and peace. The neighborhood seems like a family place. Full of love and joy. Ample parking is provided at the cabin. "Overall, I LOVED the property, the friendliness of the staff, amenities (gym, dining options, fire pits, etc.) With that being said, I did noticed the shower door in our room was not cleaned properly and neither was the countertop in the bathroom. I also noticed water leaking around the base of the sink faucets. I only bring this up because at the prices you pay to stay at the Salamander, I expect everything to be exceptional. ALL in ALL those were minor, seeing that my germophobic ways will not allow me to travel without taking or purchasing cleaning products locally. So I was able to clean the shower door and counter myself, which I would have done even if I didn't notice they had not been cleaned properly. I would definitely go back."
