"I recently stayed at this budget hotel and was so impressed that I ended up staying an extra night! The room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, thanks to the high-end Hypnos mattress—super supportive and perfect for a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was another highlight: a piping hot shower with excellent pressure, plus some lovely soaps that added a nice touch of luxury. However, I did run into a small issue: the hand soap wasn’t refilled after it ran out on the first night, even though I had daily housekeeping. It wasn’t a huge inconvenience, but it was a little surprising given the otherwise great attention to detail. The only other downside was the brown, dated decor, which feels like it could use a refresh. It's a bit stuck in the past, but honestly, that didn’t impact my stay much at all. Overall, the hotel offers incredible value for money, and I’ll definitely be back! "

"One night stay en route to Whitby 2 rooms booked. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and shown to our rooms. Rooms were very spacious and clean and had all we required. We went down to the bar for food and drinks the food was very good and enjoyed by the three of us. We enjoyed the evening with the locals and our host who made us all feel very welcome. After a great nights sleep we all had breakfast again very good and couldn't be faulted. All in all a great place to stay if you're in the area and very convenient for visiting Whitby. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Witching Post Inn and would definitely visit again. "
