"When we arrived, we were greeted at the front desk reception by Shaniqua who gave us a full explanation of the amenities and a few suggestions on places to eat and things to do. After which, we were offered a welcome beverage of our choice to enjoy in the adjacent Peacock room. The grounds were well maintained, clean, and well appointed. For someone’s first venture outside of the states, this was just perfect and I really cannot imagine a better experience than King Christian Boutique Hotel for our stay. I highly recommend the hotel. Only draw back, all the free roam chickens, which are not their fault. All in all a phenomenal experience for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary. "

"Stayed here with 3 couples. Gated community and only about 10 minute drive to Christensted. House was really nice and kitchen well stocked. Would 100% recommend if looking for a place on the east end of the island. "

"This home on Spicewood Road was great! Beautiful views of the ocean and the marina. I never know if I should believe the sleeping arrangement listed on sites like VRBO but this house legitimately has 6 massive rooms with king beds and several pull out couches an awesome game room (air hockey, foosball, pinball, etc). The host (James) was very responsive and helpful. There was an entire team involved in helping us through the week (Althea - house care; Carl - boat captain). It was just a very pleasant host experience. The air conditioning in one of the rooms did not work (room 6) but it was only because they couldn’t get the part in time after we notified Althea. Everything else worked great (and with a house this big there is always something that likely needs fixing)! The boat and captain were great. The pool was clean and cool. The main living area kitchen could easily fit 15-20 people. We are also big tennis players and were pleasantly surprised by the very good condition of the hard tennis court. All we had to do was quickly tighten up the net a bit and it was ready to go - bring your own rackets though if you are serious tennis players! The sugar mill bar was a nice touch too. It’s immaculate! I can’t imagine how much it cost to restore this sugar mill, but it was very nice and the upstairs portion is ideal for a sunset game of poker with 6 friends. We only took 8 people (4 adults and 4 children) and we could have had way more! 5-stars!!!"

"If 4.5 stars was an option, I would have chosen that. We love the Shoy's area by the Buccaneer. The 1/2 star deduction would largely be due to no bathroom on the same level as the main kitchen/living room. It is a little odd to have to go downstairs from the main living area to use the restroom. The home if very well built. It is broken up into 3 separate areas, each with a King bed, one of which has an adjacent bedroom with twin beds. I would rank this as a negative for families with small children, but a positive for groups of adults who want their own space.The views are great. The only drawback is that for sunset junkies such as myself, the small balconies were where you needed to go for more unobstructed views. All in all, a good experience and we are strongly considering a return."
