"A loverly village inn with great food and real ales. Very comfortable bed and room very clean. Shower was clean and they water hot. In all a very comfortable stay. We were, attending a wedding at Leez Priory which as 5 mins away. Local Chelmsford cabs serve the Leez so transport back was very easy. "

"We arrived later than we had planned but received a warm welcome from the hosts. We had the family room which is a good size, well decorated, warm and comfortable. The accomodation was spotless. We didnt eat there but will need to be in Cambridge in aroun 6 months time, so hoping we can stay again. Great value for money. Highly recommended. "

"The restaurant/bar was really modern and comfortable. The breakfast was great and plenty of choice. The room was very nice although a little dark but coped. The down side was there was no hot water for a shower either in the morning or evening. The other thing missing was biscuits to go with the drinks and our tea bags was never replenished so went without. "I had a really good stay - the breakfast and service was excellent and room very comfortable. I did find the room a little too warm though. The main light was not working and there were no rubber bath mats to stand on in the shower. I was however given a bath towel to use instead. I was hoping to make use of the extra pillows in the wardrobe, but unfortunately there was a vomit-like smell in the wardrobe which had permeated the pillows. "We had a lovely stay. The hosts were welcoming and friendly - they clearly enjoy and take pride in their job. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked with amenities (after a long day the hot chocolate was well needed!). Breakfast in the morning was excellent quality."
