I decided to celebrate my 30th birthday in a location that offered me tranquility and beauty. It was my first time in Vermont and my first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast, and I must say, Glenn and Kay truly made it feel like home! They are two beautiful, kind souls that made my first time experience truly enjoyable; so much so, that I look forward to making my stay with them a recurring yearly visit. They truly know Vermont well and made it a point to know their guests (my cousin and I) well -- they shared wonderful recommendations for dinner and lunch locations, were great conversationalists, had several ideas of things we could do outside of our curated agenda which allowed us to explore even more, and made sure to tailor their breakfast offerings to our delight. They even went out of their way to search for a particular item that we had spoken about in passing and we NEVER expected them to do that! It just speaks to their character as not only hosts but simply as amazing people with kind hearts and a delightful presence. As far as the living accomodations, we stayed in the 1 bedroom, not the 2, and it was VERY clean! It was also the perfect size for two people with an amazing view of the mountains from the living room (where the pull out bed was located - talk about a beautiful sight to wake up to). The sleeping accommodations were completely separate from the rest of the house so you truly had your space - they provided us with fresh and clean linens, a fully furnished kitchen with utensils, pots and pans, glassware, dish soap, etc., a large screen TV, and a private balcony. The home itself has so much character and history as well - definitely ask Glenn about that! And when I tell you Kay's cooking is outstanding, get ready for your taste buds to be more than pleasantly delighted! All in all, Glenn and Kay are terrific hosts who made my first trip to Vermont a memorable one; they are the embodiment of what Vermont has to offer and I will definitely be staying with them again whenever I visit!
