"Peaceful and pretty view. Exactly like the photos. The only suggestion I have is that it may be time to replace mattress in primary bedroom. There's too much give to it. It was cold and rainy while my friend and I were there and we loved being able to utilize the electric fireplace. The host answered all my questions promptly before we stayed and we had a lovely visit "

"5 stars all around! Three of us stayed here for 5 nights on a fishing trip and it was perfect. The place was clean, well supplied, and a great location with a boat ramp about 1/4 mile down the road. There was even a fish cleaning shack in the backyard. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the place was very nice and clean. The hosts were very responsive and helpful if we had questions. If you're headed to Truman Lake I would highly recommend a stay. We are already planning our stay next spring."

"I love this place! I stayed on a wim to be close to work and fell in love with the whole experience! The staff is so kind and answer questions promptly. The cabin was such a neat experience! Talk about the only way to camp!! They think of EVERYTHING even fire pit supplies and a smores kit!! And the view!! I got to watch deer walk by after watching it rain. It was so peaceful. I can't wait to go back!"

"This is our 2nd stay at the cottage. They have made changes with an open roof over the patio in the front. Many games, movies, & books to enjoy. A perfect place to getaway for a weekend or week. Very clean!! Nice yard for your dog to roam in!! We highly recommend The Stowaway!! "
