"Beautifully appointed home on a beautiful lake in Woodstock, CT. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, visiting nearby orchards and hiking the many scenic trails nearby. Many great restaurants in the area as well. Although we did not partake, there is a great rail trail nearby for hiking, walking, etc. The home listing is very accurate, the kitchen is well equipped, and the cleanliness of the home is top notch. "We came to Connecticut for our daughter's wedding. This was our first time staying here and we enjoyed having the extra space that you cannot get with a hotel. When we had questions, they were answered quickly. We will stay here again if available the next time we come out to visit. "

"A group of friends and I stayed at this property for a weekend and absolutely loved it! The access to the water is amazing, plus the sleeping accommodations are perfect for lots of people. The kitchen was also very well equipped and great for cooking for a large group. We had a great time, and I would highly recommend this to anyone! Hope to return soon."

"I’m grateful we found a property that fit our family size. We wanted to introduce my family to CT and be their tour guide. The house itself needs some tlc. Judge for yourself. I personally wouldn’t choose this again. "

"Visiting from NC for family wedding. This was the perfect spot for us, on tranquil, beautiful Wincheck Pond. The pine paneled 2-story house is well appointed, clean and comfortable. Yes, it has its own sandy beach, with propane fire pit, 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, and paddleboards. The owner was kindly attentive in assuring we had all we needed. Henry David Thoreau would've appreciated the quiet, natural setting, with wildlife and foliage galore. Two amazing hiking trails were only 1/2 mile away. ...

"5 of us stayed here for a week while we were at an event nearby. The place is gorgeous, huge, impecably clean, and for our purposes very convenient. We particularly appreciated the nice touches of a bottle of wine and some snacks, and the large and very functional washing machine/dryer setup, We’re immediately trying to rebook for a trip next year!. "I rented this house for a family wedding a couple miles away, so it was very convenient! I had a family issue that came up and the host was so accommodating and understanding! She was very kind and responded quickly to messages! Would definitely rent this place again!! "

"Great location for family gathering! Casino, shopping, restaurants, historic area, great fenced backyard and playhouse in addition to an amazing well appointed home that had plenty of room for our blended family. This is situated right off the green and very convenient! The down side to this is that from the front rooms at night you may hear traffic, so light sleepers should get the rooms (there are 8 with 1 very small tandem bedroom) farther back in the house. We will definitely go back!"

"I am absolutely in love with this house! The owners were great and easy to work with. The house is a treasure! It’s really big, but it feels so cozy. I would recommend this property to anyone and I hope that someday I can stay there again."

"The house is old but modernized and very clean. Roomy layout with plenty of mingle and sleep space. Check in/out was easy. Beds are a little on the soft side which I prefer so I slept well. Bathrooms are nice with water pressure in showers that was amazing! Living room furniture could use a little comfort upgrade but overall everything was very nice and we had a wonderful stay."

"The only ‘concern’ we had was that the heated pool wasn’t heated. Ice cold. Also, one other minor issue was that there were no coffee creamers supplied to the unit. Other than that, the stay was pretty good and room ess quiet and comfortable. "

"We rented the cottage property because it was close to family. Both the kitchen and bathroom has been update- we did not do any cooking during our stay so can’t comment on that area. But we really appreciate the instant hot water in the bathroom. We stayed in the upstairs bedroom which was comfy with lots of closet space and room. "
