"Everyone was so nice and helpful. Great room and perfect place in town. So many food choices in walkable distance. Rode bike all around and felt safe everywhere. Would definitely stay again!"

"I was traveling with my my 17 year old daughter. I did not feel safe and left within 5 minutes of arriving. We travel all over the USA and we've stayed in san pedro and San ignacio. We are not divas by any means. We love to camp so when I say it was bad it was. The door handle did not latch let alone lock. There was a dead bolt that worked. Nine of the windows locked. "We LOVED our little apartment. You can be part of the laid back, in town vibe on the front porch or step inside and close the curtains for privacy. On site owner is friendly and very helpful with local info. We enjoyed being able to walk to nearby restaurants or cook for ourselves as desired. Groceries, fruit/veggie stands are easy walking distance, safe parking, and the apartment contains everything necessary. We will definitely return!"

"I loved this property as it was in the heart of the Garifuna culture. Once you get your bearings and just smile and walk the street and beach, you find amazingly friendly people. The room was simple and functional with a large balcony overlooking the street and beach. Drums banged away until 9PM and stopped sharply. "I was looking for something quiet and out of the way of the major tourist areas and this was perfect! No noise, no golf carts but walking distance to everything. It was incredibly clean and well stocked with towels and kitchen items. The bathroom is gorgeous! I If I wasn't diving or riding my bike, I was in the hammock listening to the waves or star gazing. Will absolutely be back!"

"This place was just as described right in the center of town. The included bikes make it easy to get to the beaches, restaurants, and most of town. Wade is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the area and will guve suggestions to anything you need. The unit is clean and includes everything you need for a great stay. We will be back on our next trip."

"The setting was beautiful. Our unit was spotlessly clean and had beautiful views. The employees were all very friendly and we had all of our needs met. My only complaint had nothing to do with the resort. The beaches are not clean. It was heartbreaking for me to walk each morning and see the amount of trash mostly plastic on all of the surrounding beaches. Maybe the resort could offer some type of incentive. "First off, the owners and manager are awesome. They are very responsive, and communicate very well. The location was perfect for us, in the middle of Hopkins town. You are able to get the feel for day to day life of the residence. The people were fantastic. The place is nice and quaint, but we loved it. My wife and I both agree, the only thing it was lacking was a couch in the lounge. But honesty, we loved the place and our time in Belize. Nice work!!"

"This home was amazing! Everything you need is provided! My only disappointment was with the weather, air, and ocean conditions. Fires burning in Mexico and Belize are causing smoky air pollution and limited visability. The sargassum is thick all along the coast of Belize. There was no getting in the ocean without a boat to take you out past the sargassum. The host graciously hired someone to rake the sargassum, but the next day it was 2 feet thick again. "Serene Beach resort with amazing water activities. Fun thoughtout ways to enjoy your stay from the pool, firepit with marshmallows, included paddleboards kayaks, bicycles, and big dock peir with rope net lounge over the ocean. Golf carts available to rent. Location is close to the village made exploring, eating, and enjoying the culture easy. One and only downside is one night the dock and pool bars and the pizzeria eatery would be open the next night they would be closed. Not to big of an issue as the Paddlehouse restaurant and bar was open at all times. If ever in Belize again would definitely stay here again."

"My recent 4-day stay at Thatch Caye Resort was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel right at home. The oceanfront cabana room was a dream—waking up to the sound of the waves and the stunning view was a highlight of our trip. We spent our days snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, and the resort’s team ensured we had everything we needed for a fantastic experience. Everyone was incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. One of the unexpected delights was the island’s friendly dogs, who added a unique charm to our stay. If you're looking for a place to unwind and connect with nature, Thatch Caye is the perfect spot. I can't recommend it enough!"
