"Angel at the front desk was phenomenal. Rooms were well appointed & clean. Our only issue was the kids not getting to swim due to an issue with the pool. With kids we only choose hotels w/pool & we were there with our whole boys basketball team, so that was a bummer. "

"The common area in the hotel is very nice. Breakfast is grab-n-go with convenient items. The hotel has been mostly renovated to be more modern. Simple and clean construction. Nothing fancy but nice. Bathrooms are very basic. "

"Nice location, quaint house, friendly staff, good breakfast. Room was a little underwhelming and to get to our bathroom required us to walk through the dining room. Kind of awkward, but we knew this ahead of time. Would stay again."

"My mother in law actually had a fall in the bathroom and Alejandra at the Fairfield in the Dalles went out of her way to help us get to her as her room was locked because she threw the latch. Despite that happening we had a pleasant stay there. Just remember to put rubber mats in the handicapped bathrooms. :) Great service!"

"Interesting experience. There is no on-site staff, but the building is in excellent (restored) condition. You let yourself in with the door code and then you’re on your own. The on-site restaurant is not operating, so we drove a couple miles for dinner. We made breakfast from what was on site. Thankfully there was no noise from the railroad outside. We’ll be back."
