"Great little find on the outskirts of Manchester. Very dog friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast included. Room we had (Deluxe Double) was as per the photos. Just a little shame the TV was not working, but they did apologise for the known fault and offered free drinks as recompense."

"I arrived late and the host had taken steps to make sure that I wasn't locked out. The room I had was large and I could have had my own kitchen setup if I was staying longer. In the morning I was greated by friendly host and I was offered a free continental breakfast. "

"This property was perfect for our needs, working at a conference in the city. We arrived 9pm and left early both days, so just needed a place to sleep. Private carpark round the rear of property. Close to metro (tram) stop and an easy 20 minutes by car from the city centre (less for Salford Quays or Old Trafford). Apart from check-in we never saw anyone during our weekend stay. Host was contactable by mobile if we needed (which we didn't). Self service breakfast provided (cereals) as under new...

"Gorgeous house in beautiful, rural location. Friendly hosts, delicious breakfast and very nice touches, such as complimentary sherry in the room, good biscuits and coffee! Wish we had had more time to sit in the little wine drinking room! The biggest bed we have ever slept in! Great artwork throughout and nice garden. Next to a large pub"

"We Usually stay in hotels, but decided to stay in a guest house this time. Got to say we were really impressed with Chester house. It was very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, (in both here and their sister property, Chester court hotel, next door), and the included breakfasts were excellent. "Our stay was very comfortable and it was a great location for our stopover between Scotland and Devon. The host was very efficient, friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the en suite bathroom which had a sensor light. This made any night time toilet trips impossible to make without waking someone up with the light and extractor fan. The shower pressure was very weak & the sink was tiny. "Very clean and convenient thank you. However terrible if you want a good night's sleep. The walls are paper thin. I could hear everything in the room next door. I was woken repeatedly and ended up leaving at 8am on Sunday morning to escape. "
