The space
Nestled on over 10 private acres of pristine wilderness at the very top of Colchester Mountain, at an elevation of 2,405 feet above sea level, this house offers an idyllic retreat. Explore the numerous hiking trails that surround the property, immersing yourself in the natural beauty. Nearby, you'll discover tranquil swimming holes, picturesque ponds, and serene lakes perfect for cooling off or indulging in fishing adventures. Whether you're seeking a remote work getaway or a space for artistic inspiration, this exceptional retreat is ideal for painting, writing, and finding the creative spark within you.
The Cabin:
-Less than 2.5 hours from NYC/George Washington Bridge
2 hours from Syracuse, Albany, & Scranton
-3 spacious bedrooms, each with queen-sized beds. 2 upper-level bedrooms share a bathroom, lower-level bedroom has en-suite bathroom, and main level has another bathroom. For parties of 7 or more, a queen sized air mattress is available upon request.
-Three decks/balconies: Covered back deck with valley view, wraparound entrance deck, and upper-level bedroom balcony.
-The kitchen is equipped with a complete range of appliances, including a full-sized stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher, all fully stocked for your convenience.
-Breakfast nook at the front of the house, adjacent to kitchen.
-Dining room table can accommodate up to 8 people.
-Charcoal BBQ with outdoor table/chairs on front deck (please bring your own charcoal)
-Top of the line woodstove with firewood available
-Adirondack chairs and hammock
-Full cell service and 250 mbps of wifi
-Curated set of vinyl's for record player
-Smart TV with Roku in the living room
-Washer and Dryer
Relevant items to be mindful of:
-Reaching the cabin involves navigating a long and steep gravel road. While an AWD or 4x4 vehicle is recommended, it is not strictly necessary to reach the top. However, we advise against attempting the drive in a low-clearance vehicle, such as a sports car.
-The upstairs bedrooms are not soundproofed as the bedroom walls do not reach all the way to the ceiling.
-Remain vigilant regarding wildlife and ensure that no food or trash is left outdoors, as it may attract bears.

Plenty of parking on the premises.
Other things to note
-We are pet friendly however require a pet fee. Please be sure to keep your dogs on leashes and pick up after them. No dogs on the furniture or beds.
-Absolutely no smoking inside the house of any kind.
-Firearms, fireworks or explosives of any kind are not allowed on the property. No hunting.
-The cabin is on a private road so there is no trash service. Carry-in carry-out for trash & recycling. If trash is left, it will be billed at $25 / bag.
