"My little chalet was ideal for me. There is one of the stages at the beginning for the driveway so that was perfect for my start to do the Okiato loop. Shame the sun doesn’t penetrate the chalet until later in the day, likely the trees in the front obscure the sun and view of the sea. It’s a tranquil place, one can be as active as they want to be swimming, kayaking if you want. "

"The front of the house is spectacular - great view of the bay and spacious deck! We enjoyed many mornings and evenings there. The location was good - walking distance to restaurants and the wharf / ferry. It’s not a huge house, but 7 of us were comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay in Paihia!"

"Fabulous views. Very clean. Had everything we needed. Has had a makeover since photos were taken and is much nicer than in photos. Loved having the swimming at the end of the drive and being in such a quiet space. Watching the boats all day was so relaxing and fun. Would love to go back. "

"We arrived and entered our apartment. There was a strong smell of RAID bug spray and water was leaking on floor by sink and dishwasher. Contacted Bachcare and the said it did not smell according to property manager. The smell was so bad that even with the door open I could not sleep as it gave me a headache and sore throat. That night I had to sleep in our car. The next day property manager came over and saw leak and smelt odour. We were moved to unit beside ours which had no smell or water...

"Lovely house, well situated, beautiful views. Comfy beds, great showers. Provided everything we needed. However, lower bedroom still has damp musty smell and we had no wifi and no Netflix as modem had failed and needed replacing. Property manager responded immediately to internet problem and replacement arranged. Read comments about noise from ferry wharf but we did not find this intrusive."
