"The Tapoco Lodge is absolutely beautiful and the staff was amazing. The cabin we stayed in felt like everything was antique but somehow still new. My only complaint was that Expedia allowed me to book it as a pet-friendly room when the actual room I chose wasn’t pet-friendly. The Tapoco honored the reservation anyway and took care of us. They were terrific. My wife is already asking if we can stay here again. "

"We had an amazing time at the Big Lodge. It's secluded enough for privacy- a bear walked right past the front door- yet close to town for grocery runs and dinners out. We loved walking down the steep drive to cross the swinging bridge. The house was spacious, the beds were super comfortable, and the rooms were all gorgeous. "There were many good things about this property. The kitchen was the most well-appointed kitchen I’ve ever seen! If you needed something to make your meal, it was there. Hi-end pots & pans, beautiful dishes, stainless steel commercial-like sink, double-oven range, etc. It was great! The owners spared no expense to stock the kitchen! The main floor bathroom shower was exactly like the pictures. It was wonderful! The only issue we had was that the sink needed a round of Drano because it backed up...
