"We had a great stay at this cabin nestled in Smith Flat. Location was perfect for a day at Apple Hill, Placerville or Sly Park(Jenkinson Lake) The house is really cozy with plenty of room for a large family of three couples. Very beautiful surroundings with a wonderful deck above the garage. The stars are amazing at night. Only complaint was downstairs bathroom was alittle dirty upon arrival. Other than that, it is an awesome place to stay. Owners are quick to respond. Very professional "

"I stayed here with 2 of my adult children. We were just craving some time in nature to hang out, eat good food and be cozy. :) Nice clean cabin, thoughtfully appointed, a wood burning stove and lots of big trees gave us everything we wanted. We stopped at Apple hill and picked up a pie and browsed a little in Placerville. Lots of scenic places nearby but for this trip, we were just ccntent to chat by the fire and munch on charcuterie. "

"This was a great homebase for our family on our return to the area where we spent time every summer, winter, and often spring as our kids were growing up. We no longer have a family home in BTV, so we were happy to find the Knotty Pine, which met our needs perfectly. The hosts provide so many amenities to make your stay comfortable and fun--a hot tub, a rec room, access to the community pool. "Great location for a family. The suspension bridge to get to the house was novel and made it feel like we were someplace special. You could hear the creek flowing from the house and it was a pleasant aural backdrop. Only downside was needing to take your trash with you when you leave. "
