"Another great stay on Paxos. Melpomeni is located right in the middle of the island a short walk from Magazia and Fontana where you have access to some great bars and restaurants. The house itself is a lovely traditional Paxos house, recently renovated with great views to the East, perfect if you are an early riser as you get a full sunrise experience from the terrace. The villa was perfect for our vacation as it is 2 separate apartments on top of each other so each family could have its space. The pool setting was great and the views of the sea great. "At first glance you may think: “oh dear, we are in the middle of nowhere.“ Wrong. It is in the center of the island, a gated series of villas, and you have several parking spots at your disposal. Not possible near the beach or a tourist area. You must have a rental car (reasonable, the host connected us with Avanti) and it was fun to visit different beaches and different areas on Corfu. The rental cars are tiny beaters and that is exactly what you need on these roads. SuperMarkets are minutes...

"The property was spotlessly clean albeit a bit dated. The twice weekly change over of towels etc was a nice touch. The kitchenware could do with a restock and update and a washing machine would be a bonus. The pool was kept sparkling. The location is great if you want seclusion and privacy but it’s quite isolated - a car or scooter is a must."
