"The hotel was great! Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional & helpful. The breakfast provided was okay & there were even hot options available so more than I expected. The area around the hotel has roadwork being completed which looks close to finished. So should be okay in the near future. "

"We spent a few days here to celebrate the new year as a group of friends (in our 20s and 30s). We had a fantastic time! The property is spacious and comfortably fitted our 8 adults and one dog. The kitchen is very well equipped and there are ample bedrooms and bathrooms.The hot tub was also great though we did have a bit of a problem. When we arrived, the host said she thought we probably could fit all 8 of us in the hot tub. So not long after, we gave it a try. The water over flower a lot and the jets stopped working. So we got out and messaged the host. Luckily she was able to solve the problem but was quite patronising, suggesting we had made a stupid mistake and that it was obvious that the water shouldn’t overflow that much. She even made rude comments about the size of the people and “8 people of her size would fit”. She could have handled this better and communicated in a more professional, respectful and constructive way.In terms of the property itself, the bedding and towels seemed really quite old. The towels were small and only one was provided per person, with no extras for the hot tub. The property was clean but definitely could have been cleaner. It’s great that there is such a large sofa but it really wasn’t very comfortable. Overall, things just seemed a bit tired and in need of some TLC and renovation.The location was great for us - accessible by car (and train if someone can pick you up) from London."
