"I will get negatives out of the way first, the listing says this is a working dairy farm however there is just a few cows and one pig. The grandchildren were looking forward to learning and watching milking etc but there was no opportunity to do this. Owner lives in part of house next door but he keeps himself to himself and left us to it so it isn't an issue. Great location to discover places in the area. "After not thinking we would be able to holiday due to Covid this was the perfect relaxing retreat. Everything was as we had expected. The log cabin was well equipped and comfortable. The gifts on arrival ( goats cheese , apple juice, jam and cider ) were all lovely and a nice touch. Roaming chickens and cats were an added delight with some eggs given to us in the week.
