There are great views from the patio with an excellent outdoor BBQ facility (with supplied wood) and benches which we made use of 3 times. "We stayed in late April early May. The house and gardens are wonderful. Great for two couples and Jose looked after us! A simple house with great WiFi, views of Gijon but in the countryside so a drive into the city! As it was early in the season not much open locally but lots in town and very close to some other towns and beaches but you would need a car! I would only suggest that if guests are staying more than a week they install a washing machine and do a change over of towels and linnen...

"We had a very relaxing stay at Casa Sira, which is a beautifully restored traditional house with all the modern comforts. The house is well equipped, and tastefully furnished with everything you need, comfortable beds and wi-fi / Tv etc. It is set in the mountains with stunning scenery all around. The nearest town is a short drive away. Lusima is a great host who went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay.with helpful advice on activities and great restaurants. "We chose this house because of the location. It is quite remote, in a very small hamlet about 10km up narrow roads. Villaviciosa is a lovely small town and worth a walk around. The hamlet of Piedrafita is exactly that, a hamlet. We were hugely disappointed that the local bar/eatery had suffered a fire and was out of action for the foreseeable. That was a shame because it was only a couple of hundred meters away from our accommodation. The nearest place to eat is a 20 minute walk to the next...
