"Everything was excellent. Really good communication before arrival with video's of how to get in and where to go. Location is perfect for exploring all the wonderful city of Bologna has to offer, literally in the main square. Windows didn't let any street noise in and room was clean and very big. Would definitely come back the next time we visit."

"We were given a very friendly welcome by Jerome who let us into the building and to our studio apartment as well as explaining everything and giving directions to the city attractions. The room was spotless and had a great shower. It was ideally located across from one of the old city gates and was about a 10min walk into the main attractions. "I felt I was being dealt with rather than treated as a guest during check-in and out procedures. The amenities were okay; there were only a few bathrooms for many people, and one didn't even work. This is the first hostel I've seen with a kitchen, and no one can use it. I couldn't even fill up my water bottle. Its location is excellent, and it's decent enough if you're only using it to sleep."

"Our stay - We advised them what time we would arrive; no body there to greet us. The owner's Mom was very kind, helped check us in, but clearly this isn't her job. The room. Dirty. The door to the bathroom is filthy. There are several LARGE scent diffusers, which I didn't think much of. As the smell was overwhelming, I moved it to the hall. "Fabtastic location right next to the train station. Great communication with the Giorgi Homes / Wonderful Italy team via Whatsapp. The apartment worked perfectly for a shorter stay and the kitchen had basic equipment for cooking but no salt, pepper or oil though. "

The apartments in via Marsala are in a great position to explore and enjoy Bologna. Instructions for check in are clear. This is our second stay and we highly recommend."

Can I Just Move In Already?

"I flipping love this place. The Social Hub is everything I never knew I needed in a stay—sustainability, community, and comfort, all in one incredibly well-thought-out space. Let’s start with the bed—oh my God, the most comfortable thing ever, with so many pillows to curl up in. The room temperature was spot on, and when I turned the lights off, it was pitch black, which made for the best sleep ever. I also loved all the thoughtful details, like the water tracker in the shower, the sustainable toilet paper, and even the condoms in the room (nice touch!). But what truly sets The Social Hub apart is the community focus. As a solo traveler, I really appreciate places where you can meet people outside of the usual drinking culture. There were so many cool events and opportunities to connect with others in a meaningful way. I just wish I had known about them in advance so I could have planned to attend! The staff were beyond lovely—friendly, welcoming, and just radiating good vibes. The location was perfect, super close to the train station, and I felt safe walking back at night. Only tiny bit of feedback? I really wanted to swim, and I wish I’d been told in advance that the pool wasn’t open. Also, can we please get more Social Hubs in other cities? Because I would absolutely stay again in a heartbeat. This place is just so my vibe—a perfect mix of sustainability, comfort, and social connection. If you’re even thinking about booking, just do it. You won’t regret it."
