"This was by far our favorite town to visit on our trip so far, and this hotel was a perfect location to explore the town. The staff was great, communication was excellent, the room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious! As others mentioned, park in P3 parking lot for the closest walk. No parking in the town itself!"

"Our stay in Castello Vicciomaggio was a dream location and accommodation in the heart of Tuscany. It gives the sights, sounds and everything else you want from a winery/stay in Chianti. It was the most expensive place we stayed while in Tuscany, but gave us the most back in return. You're not just paying for a place to stay, you're getting the wow factor, soul food, and exceptional memorys. "

"We absolutely adored Salvadonica, and would come back again in a heartbeat. The accommodations are great, the property is beautiful and the staff are amazing. There is ample parking, you’re fairly close to town and two Coop groceries, yet out in your own personal oasis. The breakfast is outstanding with great variety and a mixture of things you recognize and a few you may not. We had dinner there, and the light lunch, and our only quibble would be that the portions could be a little larger, and maybe not so much on the pricey side. That said the CDN dollar is likely to blame, and that is not their fault. If you’re looking to spend a few days away from it all in Italy and looking for a great place to relax, that’s in the heart of the Chianti region you really couldn’t find a better spot. "

"Heaven truly exists. It’s because of this place at villa petriolo. I came solo and had the most amazing, healing time. The spa, gym, fire pit and areas to relax/ decompress was like nothing else. It was a true Tuscany experience. The staff here all made me feel welcome and seeing them everyday for 5 days, was truly so special. Thank you all for making it a place to remember. It felt like home and when I got in the car to leave, tears flooded my eyes. I can’t wait to come back one day again. Top notch experience. Brava. "

"This was a beautiful place to make my temporary home in Florence. For the city minded, Expedia's estimate on time to the city is way off. If you don't rent a car you'll need to get a taxi or walk half an hour to take a half hour bus ride. "
