"The front door was broken so we could not lock it, which according to the neighbor was 'the only' issue of the house (he was the only contact we were provided with, and did the check in with us). The fridge handle was broken and had a cork as replacement the freezer was broken door was broken too so we had to play with both to close the fridge. No hot water nor towels upon arrival, we had to call the neighbor for help , the towels he gave us were super small, not even hair size. Showers were dirty with hair, and in one of them the water wouldn't drain properly. Electricity stopped a few times we had to fix it ourselves as the neighbor wouldn't answer anymore. The pictures on expedia are nowhere close to what we found. It could be a great rental if basics were met as the house is spacious with large living room, plenty of bedrooms, nice outdoors and utensils for large groups.. we were gutted!"

"Sent by Copilot: Mere Germaine Hotel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France I recently stayed at the beautiful Mere Germaine Hotel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking views from the terrace. I stayed in a two-story room with a mezzanine and a terrace, which added to the charm and comfort of my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Breakfasts were a highlight, featuring delicious fresh breads and other tasty options. I also treated myself to a massage and enjoyed some time in the jacuzzi. While the jacuzzi could have been a bit hotter, I didn’t ask the staff to adjust it, so it’s possible they could have made it warmer. Parking was conveniently located about half a block away, but I found that I didn’t need my car much at all. The hotel is within walking distance of several vineyards, where I enjoyed tours and tastings. Additionally, the ruins and numerous restaurants and wine bars are just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the area on foot. Overall, I highly recommend Mere Germaine Hotel for its beautiful setting, excellent service, and convenient location. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Châteauneuf-du-Pape."

"What a lovely house. Well equipped & spacious with a massive super secure garden. The pool is well fenced & there are several seating areas in the large garden. A short walk to the local shops & very close by car to Avignon, Chateauneuf Du Pape."

"This home is in the perfect location, is spacious and beautiful and has so much charm and character. The kitchen is well appointed, the rooms are large, multiple patios and space for everyone. We loved exploring Chateauneuf-du-Pape and the surrounding towns from this home base, it was always lovely to come home to, and we walked to dinner every night. We highly recommend and would love to come back one day!"

"We stayed at Villa Syrah for one week in August, one week was not long enough! Our first impressions of the villa were WOW! On arrival we were met by the property manager who was lovely and spoke really good English. She showed us around the property. The property was spotless, really clean and tidy and furnished with some lovely wood furniture. All of the appliances were top of the range, clean and in good working order. The kitchen is a really nice place to cook and has everything you would need. The bed rooms were all of a good size, plenty of storage and the beds were comfortable. Outside there is a nice patio area to eat and then there is the pool area, pool was perfect. The pool area and patio area have the sun on them pretty much all day. There is also a pool house which is used mainly for storage. The owner lives next door and comes round to clean the pool every now and again, he is a really friendly and helpful and has really good taste in music. Overall we had a fantastic stay at Villa Syrah and the surrounding area. There are too many positives to list about our stay, I would definitely recommend the villa to anyone wanting to stay in this part of France. We hope to be able to stay again sometime in the future."
