"I was a little worried after reading the reviews - but the hotel is actually a gem. Its location is perfect, just across from a swim pier on the ocean. I couldn’t find any reviews on the pool before we went so I will state that it was perfect too, great temperature and rarely too busy, during the day we had it to ourselves largely. "We enjoyed our stay in this spacious house and especially liked the garden seating area in the morning and the upstairs balcony for sunset views in the evening. The hosts were very helpful and kind and even lent us their coffee machine. It was great just for relaxing but there are places to see nearby and we were very impressed with Mozia island and the Salt pans. The cycle track outside meant you could walk or cycle in safety. "You will find that the host is wonderful and very accommodating. He takes great care in maintaining his property and the grounds. The garden surrounding the house are like an oasis. The property around the house had many seating areas wonderful for entertaining. Although you do need a car to get around, we would highly recommend this property."

"The property is beautiful with lush gardens. The room upgraded room had a luxury rain shower. "This hotel has been renamed The New Hotel Palace. It was grand, beautiful pool area, ornate lobby and sitting areas albeit somewhat dated. The staff was lovely. It was very quiet, guessing that it was off season. The breakfast was not enticing, a bit disappointing. The same foods were out for 2 mornings so there was nothing that was fresh except maybe the loaf of bread to toast. "

"Absolutely loved this place! The combination of a historical building fused with modern facilities made it gorgeous. The gentleman at the front desk was very passionate and very informative about everything you needed to know, including the surrounding towns. The ceramic tiles in the room and bathroom looked like wood, giving the room a very zen and spa feeling.
