"The hotel is on the edge of the city center and only 2 blocks from the ocean. You would have to walk about 20 minutes for a small beach or drive 20 for a nicer beach. I rented a car and drove all over the island. Maria at the front desk was very helpful. Parking is hit or miss aw far as street parking. "I selected this property for one night because it was within 10 minutes of the Athens airport. It does not have a reception desk but their written instructions were very clear to gain access to the property. I wish I had more time because the property and the pool were lovely. "

"Upon arrival the apartment was in appalling condition to begin with the door was jammed, downstairs door to outside on the left wide open for people to come and go as they please. hair everywhere no lock on the window, smelled like cat urine, counters cookers everything unbelievably hygienic, 20 minutes in random men banging on the door and shouting. "Amazing property with amazing staff. My family of 5 had a private ground floor villa with its own pool. It was very large, super clean, well decorated, and had everything we needed, including complimentary water, raki, pasteli and juice. Walking distance to many shops, restaurants, beaches etc. Staff were very friendly and offered their advice and services throughout. Highly recommend and would come back again. Thankyou for the parting gifts also."

"Very beautiful views atop a mountain overlooking the Mediterranean. The road up is a challenge, for sure. Probably unlike anything else you have driven, but very doable with a little patience. The size of the place it a little tight for a family of 4, but you can make it work. The pool and patio are lovely and the hosts are very kind. "

"The house is located higher above a smaller local beach (which never got busy) and afforded great views over the area. Whilst the house is lovely, the outdoor space really sets the accommodation apart. There are a number of different veranda’s and seating areas which allow the outdoors to be utilised throughout the day. We loved it. We explored the East of the island, and the house location proved to work really well for that. We would not hesitate to return. Many thanks."

"The hotel itself is beautiful. From the outside to the inside, the commun area and the rooms; everything is clean with a simple and elegant vibe to it. The breakfast offered is vast and with a lot of variety, delicious as everything else in Crete. Location wise, it's central and you can walk to the port from there. There are many restaurants around the area that are pure gems. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The downsides were the unstable WiFi. We were told the bottles of water in the mini fridge were complimentary and would be replenish daily but they were not, maybe they just forgot. And the handle of the bathroom door kept falling off. All minor inconveniences that did not really affect us for the short time we stayed. Overall, recommended."

Wonderful Resort

"Beautiful resort with super friendly and helpful staff. The water park looks amazing for kids (and adults too). Plenty of areas for adults to relax too. Only improvement is Netflix needs to be added to the TVs in bedrooms, the existing selection of mainly news channels is awful "

"Very clean and comfortable room. The livingroom with several seating areas and large screen tv was a big hit for us. The buffet breakfast was amazing. So many Cretan savory and sweet food that we might not have had if it weren’t for this breakfast buffet. Every staff member that we met was friendly and helpful. It was a great hotel to stay in Heraklion."
