"Nice area to sit outside, well stocked kitchen, each room has a cabinet for items, basket of fruit from owner’s garden and lovely cake was on one of the tables for guests to enjoy. Diana works very hard keeping the place clean and is always available if have any questions. Short walk to two excellent local restaurants, small but well stocked supermarket and the Trilho Ecologico da Urzelina (TEU), a beautiful 3 KM coast path. "

"Our stay was very enjoyable. The property is very unique and picturesque. The small cottages with a couple rooms each are very quiet. The grounds are very old and beautiful. They are cobble stone and so not ideal if you have mobility issues. Food and drinks at the restaurant were excellent and breakfast had a good variety. "

"The staff spoke English and were very helpful. The location of this hotel was perfect! If you want to see the stone arch, it is next door to the hotel. If you want to swim in the natural pool, it is on the other side of the hotel. The hotel also has a pool and lovely grounds. The breakfast is great, as well. Sao Jorge Gardens if definitely a place I will stay again."

"The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The bed wasn't the greatest - the mattress is very firm. The location was good, central to the island so we could explore all regions over three days. There is a small grocery store just down the street and a great restaurant within walking distance. A guestbook would be helpful as we drove 20 minutes to find a grocery store on our first day. Check-in was seamless and the apartment was very clean. Overall we were very happy with our stay. "

Freshly made to order eggs along with cheeses, meat bread etc. it was literally a two minute drive to the airport but we could not hear any planes coming and going. We enjoyed the pool very much! Highly Recommend"
