"Disappointing Stay – Not as Advertised This hotel looked great in the Expedia photos, but upon arrival, it was a completely different story—false advertising at its finest. The property looked nothing like the pictures, and mosquitoes were a major issue throughout our stay. Right away, we encountered problems with the hot water in our room. After multiple calls to the front desk and waiting for maintenance, it took hours to fix, and even then, we only had lukewarm water. The entrance was dirty, the towels were old, and there were no amenities provided. The bed was okay, but that’s about the only positive thing I can say. Definitely not worth the stay."

"Excellent and very helpful staff Thank you to the ladies at the front desk. My front view was a little pond where you will hear a chorus of frog ensemble playing their evening symphonies and in the morning beautiful wading birds warming up for the day. "

"Brilliant balcony, good meal service, nice staff, and well appointed rooms. We got to witness a wedding in the property whilst there and that should tell you enough in and of itself about the quality of the location. "

"Lovely friendly helpful staff. Lovely residential road. Used pick me to get to property from station- only 450 LR Room with balcony allowed us the watch birds and at dusk. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Oviya in Vavuniya! The town view from the hotel was really nice, and it made for a pleasant and convenience throughout our visit. The receptionist team was very helpful, arranging a room for us and also taking care of our van driver’s needs. They were quick to assist with our breakfast requests, ensuring everything went smoothly. Overall, we had a great experience at the hotel, and we would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting the area!"

"I really enjoyed my stay at Kutumbaya. The staff were really friendly and helped organise a safari and tour of the ancient ruins for me. The food was great, particularly the Sri Lankan breakfasts. The WiFi and air con were good and I even found some Premiership football on the TV. I’d definitely stay here again!"

"Everything is good, but there were two minor issues I would point out. 1.) Shower door didn't close completely. 2.) They only give one room key, which you need to plug in for lights to operate. So, there is a chance you can walk out and get locked out the door. When I pointed that out, they gave me a sperate card to plug in for the lights and so my door keys were always in my pocket. One thing I should mention more than anything, staff were super friendly and very helpful!"

"It’s located in close proximity to all must visit places in Anuradhapura. We really enjoyed the lake view from our room too. Foods were amazing. I would highly recommend it for a very comfortable stay. "
