"This was our 2nd stay in Villa Varkoula. It’s a simple but lovely villa, with pool and great views of hills. Very peaceful. A joy to watch the swallows/swifts dipping down to sip from the swimming pool, a few sightings of an eagle and cute bats in the evening. A car is essential, but the town of Lixouri and several lovely and not too busy beaches are all within a short drive.
