"This was our first stop on a 14 hour journey from Florida to Virginia to find our forever home. We had no idea where we were going, ended up two and a half hours through the Western Virginia mountains ... In the dark... I'm the rain! But then thru the mountain mist, shown the Beautiful bright lights of The Gateway Motel! I would have loved to stay longer. The owner was amazing, friendly and inviting. The rooms were perfect, cozy and warm. The property is gorgeous with the running rapid Creek next to it that you can hear to soothe you. They had fire pits and all sorts of outdoor relaxation. "

"The room was perfect, clean, bed was comfortable and sheets were clean and smelled nice, large T.V., refrigerator, beautiful bathroom, very nice shower, and it didn't smell like a pet was there. This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. I was very impressed. "

"I was looking for a little cabin with a nice view far from other people/cabins. This was absolutely perfect. Host was super friendly and accommodating. There was a gas fireplace that was just absolutely amazing. Kitchen well equipped, washer and dryer a plus! View was good for sunset and sunrise. There was a super friendly cat as well and sheep and a donkey! Located a reasonable distance from several parks and hikes, groceries and supplies not far. We will definitely come again!"
