"This was a great space to have a large group (12)- we had plenty of options for sleeping, and a large living room if people preferred sleeping bags over bed mates. The outdoor space was perfect for winding down after a day of meetings, with options for conversation (fire pit, hot tub) or some solo time (running, walking on roads). It was only about 20 mins from Cornell, which was great for our group."

"We'd probably stay here again, but we did have a few small issues. One is the Nest thermostat being a bit wonky at times, resulting in some rooms being way hotter than others. Even with closing vents off in certain rooms. Another being I wish they left more empty drawers and closet space. It's very obvious someone is living there full-time when it's not rented out, which is fine, but it's better to disclose that on the listing and please make room for the people renting the place out. "It's obvious that these hosts used to work in hospitality. The house is so well designed and furnished, including the kitchen for those who actually want to cook, which I did. Luxury baths, incredible view, birds, waterfalls and walking paths, gas fireplace. Very close to Watkins Glen and Seneca wine trail. There is some noise from cars going by below, but I'm super sensitive to those things and will still be going back because everything else is so amazing! - including the hosts themselves...

This cottage worked out perfectly - it was plenty warm, the backyard and patio are private and lovely, and the cottage is spacious with helpful features (great buffet shelving near large dining table). "My husband and I and my sister and brother-in-law stayed for three nights. The house was spacious enough for us to have our own separate spaces to sleep, plus each couple having our own bathrooms was nice. The location was great in terms of walking distance to Watkins Glen State Park and restaurants/shops. All spaces were clean and we had everything we needed for food prep and cooking.
