Perfect for families, girls/guys trips or couples, The Gingerbread Hideaway is situated on almost 10 acres of private country living, complete with a pond and walking trail beside a creek. If you choose to leave "The Hill", we are located 15 miles from Ithaca (Cornell/Ithaca College), 20 miles to Watkins Glen, within 10-25 miles to hiking, waterfalls, wineries, breweries, restaurants & a few minutes to the local grocery store, town diner, ice cream and cider tasting.

Great stay at the Gingerbread house
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Gingerbread house. It exceeded our expectations. The location was great and very peaceful, and private. No neighbors which was perfect for us! We based ourselves here for a school visit to Cornell. Ithica was about 25 minutes away and we went back and forth several times.
The house was very clean. Probably one of the cleanest rentals we’ve experienced and we have stayed in many. The hosts did a great job of thinking about all the things you need in your home away from home.
The back porch was a great place to chill out and have our glass of wine in the evening ,and our coffee in the morning. It overlooks the pond(which was larger than expected). We had fun taking the paddle boat out!
Definitely recommend staying here.

Great experience with the owner. Home is an older country farm house but has been remodeled and was perfect for what we wanted. Nice secluded yard with a pond. About 20-30 minutes from Ithaca and Watkins Glen. It was a nice place to get away very quiet area. Owners where excellent with communication.
