"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Mariposa. Sharon is a wonderful host - she prepared us early with tips for restaurants and area activities. She was very responsive, communicating and responding quickly and thoughtfully. The house is perfect. We especially enjoyed the hammock! It was well appointed to make meals, relax, etc. We used the bikes and appreciated the beach towels. Definitely reserving again!"

The White Cottage by the pool, surrounded with jungle and gardens.

"My wife and I had a wonderful 9 nights at the white cottage. The pool was perfect, nice and cool and very clean which can be difficult in the jungle with the rain etc. Location was great, very close to many great restaurants. You are close to one of the best beaches in CR arrecife. Ceasar was lovely, it's clear they take incredible care of the property. highly recommend the cottage for couples."

"The friendly owner showed pride in the condition of his few cabins and was very helpful in showing us some birding areas. We also went on a trip looking for a specific bird as well. I had nice view from the private deck of the furthest cabin. The wifi was a bit spotty in a rain storm but I suspect most people have full time data on their phones. It was a good comfortable accommodation for a very reasonable price with tv and hot water and low cost meals were available if needed. Lots of birds on...

"My husband and I stayed 5 days at Casa Verde. We had a very relaxing time there. The town is very small and everything is in walking distance. However, if you get a lot at the bigger grocery store, you might want to ask for them to deliver it for you. The beach is very close by. We bought two beach chairs to use while we were there and left them for others to use since there weren’t any. A few things to know: First, this house is very basic, just the essentials, no extras. Beautiful accommodations

"Great boutique hotel, walking distance to all the amenities Puerto Viejo has to offer. We had a bungalow with our own pool which was fabulous. Service was excellent, as was breakfast which was included. My only complaint...two cappuccinos cost $18 CAD...ridiculous..."
