"The corridors are looking a bit shabby now, but the apartments were fine. Friendly staff, but with lots of rules and you're not allowed to take ski boots into your rooms. Good location for ski-in ski-out, but a bit of a trek to and from the bus station if you're travelling that way."

"Terrible. Would not stay here again. Power continuously went out. Extremely loud, could not sleep. Walls are so thin you can hear people outside and in every room. Floors were so dirty. Beds uncomfortable. Front desk does not help at all with any requests. Spend your money somewhere else. "

"I was there in the final week of the season, with the Residence mostly full, the hotel section closed, and minimal staff (Pierre really was our knight in shining armour), but the experience was still excellent. We were looked after extremely well, and the room, facilities, and pastry deliveries were all first class. Highly recommended!"

"I was really pleased with our choice of Le Chamois D’Or. It is ideally located near the bottom of the magic carpet and Pioneers chair lift and really is ski in/out. The room was spacious and extremely well equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. We even had a balcony overlooking the piste. "Very dirty. There was mold in the bathroom and was generally very run down. I felt like I was back in the college dorms, but worse. They were surprised we didn't travel with towels (apparently this is a think in Europe). They charged us 18 Euros for one towel that we then had to share between 4 people for the week. There is no pool and it's 10 euros to use the spa one time. The keys don't work if another key is in the lock (another thing that must be common). One of our roommates had to sleep in...

"My husband, two young kids (5 & 3), and myself stayed here bc compared to the hotels we thought it was a good deal. However there are lots of extra costs that don’t make it so. Nor is it entirely convenient as you have to walk quite a bit with your skis to get to the slopes. Sheets/towels aren’t provided so that will run you about 120€ extra. Then there is the issue of cleaning. We cleaned for hours the morning we checked out only to be charged a 100€ cleaning fee bc there were some minor issues...
