"Nice quiet spot in the woods but very close to San Gimignano. Very clean. Comfortable beds. They don’t provide towels or soaps, but that is clear up front. You can rent towels if you want and they sell soap/ shampoo in the office. "

"This was a great place to stay in the historic district. I stayed here a night with my wife while hiking the Via Francigena. The reception was friendly and efficient, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was awesome. And they have an elevator! Thank you for a very pleasant stay. "

"The views of San gimignano are amazing from the outside seating area. Close enough to walk or a short drive into town but feels like a rural setting. Alessandro is also very helpful and the villa is well stocked. Pool are is great. Best part is going into town after the hordes of tourists board their buses back to Firenze."

"Many people only visit San Gimignano for an afternoon, but it is worth staying there for a few days to really explore. La Cisterna is right in the middle of everything - the perfect location. Get a valley view room and wake up feeling like you are in a dream! The bed is comfortable and the toiletries smell amazing. The front desk staff is very helpful and can answer any question you have. I had a wonderful time there and can’t wait to return."
