"We have been visiting Canaan Valley most of our adult lives. Sometimes we stay in Davis, but most of the time we stay in the Timberline community. Jim’s property is awesome! "Our overall impression of mountainous beauty cannot be understated. The amenities and charm of the small town of Davis harkens back to a forgotten time of simplicity and neighborly care. "We stayed at the River access cabin for 5 nights with our 2 doggies and had such a nice time. The absence of traffic noise at night time while listening to whippoor wills was glorious. We enjoyed Bob fires, hot tubbing, lazy days at the lake in the trout pond recreational area and a hike to Cranny Crow overlook in Lost River State Park. We took some adorable #almostheaven photos on the swing at the top. The cabin is well appointed with various cookware, WiFi and a smart tv which we never used....

"We had 3 families together for our family vacation. We had plenty of room and the house was stocked with everything we needed. It even had things we forgot... We loved how close it was to various hiking trails and cute towns. We enjoyed the pool access and the pickle ball courts."

"We loved our stay here. The property was super clean and quiet. The hot tub and grill both worked as advertised. One thing worth mentioning is that the last mile of road in is a single lane, gravel road, that not only crosses through what appears to be a creek but is also quite steep and rocky. While we managed in a Tesla model 3, I wouldn’t advise it, particularly if it is wet. "

"We booked this last minute and are so pleased with our decision! This cabin has everything you need to just get away from it all! The kitchen is fully stocked, it has a washer & dryer, full sized stove, and even a dishwasher! Oh, and WiFi which is helpful with the limited cell service in the area. Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob are just a few of the amazing places to visit while in the area. Again, we had a great stay!"
