"This chateau is nothing short of fabulous. The owner, Phillipe, is gracious and generous. The chateau itself is gorgeous and close to the small town of Evreux. I recommend going kayaking on the Eure river. It all makes for a relaxing respite from the bustling, overwhelm of Paris. Only one hour away by train, this place is absolutely a gem. I can't say enough about how great of an experience it was."

"A historic gem. Our room was huge as well as the bathroom. It really felt like you were staying in a castle. It was spotless, so clean. And breakfast was fabulous with real linen and Royal Albert China. Breakfast was in the original 16th century kitchen. Just the most fabulous stay ! Make sure to ask to see the chapel. "

"A part le volume de la salle a manger et la cuisine. Le logement est très sale, toiles d araignee datant de mois voir année . Les chambres sont sales et a fuir si vous faîtes des allergies. Pas de lumière dans les toilettes en remplacement des veilleuses !! Une chambre qui fait a peine 4 m2 sans lumière. Cher pour un logement insalubre. Sans parler de l électricité qui se coupe, nous laissant une bonne partie de la soirée dans le noir."

"Sublime endroit en Normandie entre bocage et mer. Le manoir est absolument superbe et fantastiquement entretenu . Le jardin est incroyable. Les chambres d’un goût parfait. "We spent six nights in the East Wing of the Chateau. The photos were accurate, but the house feels a bit worn. The town of Grandcourt has only a bar - no bakery or restaurant, and the closest grocery is about 5 KM away, so we had to drive for everything. I had hoped it would be a good base for WWI touring (and had even specifically inquired about that) but all the real WWI sites were at least a 1-2 hour drive away.
