"Had a great stay at The Embankment! Was met by the very enthusiastic Bethany who made check in a real pleasure and gave us some local recommendations which turned out to be fantastic! Room was clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee was of a high standard, as we're the biscuits! Bar area had a really good vibe and all staff we met/viewed were friendly and professional. Well done all, would definitely stay again."

"Pros: Great location if you’re visiting / doing business in Ampthill. Great food and drinks downstairs. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cons: no on premise parking. Closest parking is a municipal lot…10 pounds for 24 hours. When I checked in my room was made up as 2 singles instead of a double as requested. Beds were a tad small & uncomfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors “chatting” until midnight the night before I was planning on checking out. Otherwise...

"this is a lovely quite place to stay and beautiful birds. meer cat , and gold fish, little cafe on site and a shop of books on birds and information on the bird charity, the apartments has microwave and fridge, cutery, plate ect and big supermarkets 2 mile down the road, we cooked a lovely meal and got some treats had a lovely time, and all the birds are looked after very well."

"House was lovely and in a great location. Was very spacious and well equipped apart from lack of recycling bags and washing up equipment. Was hard to get hold of the owner and get check in instructions. I had to chase a few times and get vrbo to chase them. On the morning of check in I was advised to transfer a security deposit of a few hundred pounds to get the check in details. It was all fine but I was nervous we wouldn't get the details in time. Very pleasantly surprised

"Our first time using Holiday Inn and it was a very pleasant change from other budget hotels.Having staff welcome you at reception is a great start.The accessible room we requested was completely satisfactory for my wife who has Alzheimer's and movement and cognitive issues.An incident with my wife in the early morning hours when she lost her sense of bearing was dealt with professionally and with sensitivity by the night staff and we are both very grateful.We have booked another stay and are glad we have found this little gem."
