"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Alpenruh!! Cannot say enough about this beautiful area! We had a perfect balcony looking across at the Monch Eiger and Jungfrau - you cannot beat that! Was so fun to see it at all times of the day and night. The room was spacious and very comfortable and it is right next to the Cable car, so very convenient for travelling the area and we were not bothered by any noise. We also had a wonderful dinner in their restaurant!"

"Can't say enough good things about our stay. We enjoyed it so much we extended an extra 2 days (stayed 5). The breakfast buffet is the best we've had in 2 months. The staff are friendly and will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. Kandersteg is a lovely village that's not overrun with tourists. There's great hiking in the area and it's convenient to the other, more well known areas."

"Wonderful small, friendly hotel in the heart of Mürren. The room was nice, good firm bed, updated bathroom with good shower pressure, and a very nice breakfast. One improvement would be changing to regular glass in the dining room so you can see outside. The restaurant wasn't open the 3 nights we were there but there were plenty of other options."

"We took the train to Thun and then the bus to the hotel (bus stop is right outside). It’s a lovely hotel with amazing views over the lake. We were upgraded to a larger room with a balcony overlooking the lake which was just so calming to sit out on and relax (even if it was raining as the balcony was sheltered). The room was a little old fashioned, we had booked a more modern room but the upgraded room whilst larger was the old style. However, this was made up for by the views. Staff were very friendly and sorted us out with free bus passes. We ate at the Italian nearby which I would recommend. We then took the bus on to Interlaken which is another scenic journey (sit on right on bus!)"
