"Beautifully appointed home on a beautiful lake in Woodstock, CT. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, visiting nearby orchards and hiking the many scenic trails nearby. "The house worked perfectly for a weekend getaway for four old friends looking for a chance to relax and catch up. Great for hanging out, time by the fire pit, and meandering walks. We were disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working the weekend we were there but the owner was very responsive, getting two different technicians to come look at it and giving us a partial refund because it couldn’t be fixed in time. "I was a bit nervous after booking and ready some of the reviews about being a noisy location as I’m a light sleeper. It is a very active neighborhood directly behind large shopping with a railroad track nearby and a flight path directly overhead. However I just played some white noise music on my phone and it was fine. We didn’t spend much time at the house as we were on business leaving around 5am daily and coming back after 9pm.
